Setup
  1. Update SAMMI:
    • Ensure your SAMMI is updated to the latest version.
    • Make sure Bridge is running, as it’s crucial for the extension’s functionality.
  2. Install the Extension:
  3. Configure the ‘Native Screenshot’ Command:
    • Navigate to the example Native Screenshot deck in SAMMI and review the example buttons. The Native Screenshot command has the following options:
    • Type: Choose between ‘Current Window’ for active window screenshots or ‘Full Screen’ for full-screen captures.
    • Monitor Index: If using ‘Full Screen’, specify the monitor index (0 for default, 1 for first secondary, etc.).
    • Save Options:
      • Save To File: Enable to save screenshots as files in SAMMI Folder/Ext/Screenshots.
      • Auto File Name: Enable for automatic naming in the format: Screenshot_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.png.
      • Custom File Name: Provide a custom filename if ‘Auto File Name’ is unchecked. The .png extension is added automatically.
      • Save To Clipboard: Enable to save screenshots to your clipboard for immediate use.
    • Save Variable As: Assign a variable name to store the response object from the screenshot action.
      • The response object includes:
        • Success: {status: "ok", filepath: <full path to your screenshot file>}
        • Error: {status: "error", error: <error description>}
  4. Hotkey Configuration:
    • You can attach a hotkey trigger to the button with the Native Screenshot command by right-clicking the button and selecting ‘Edit Triggers’
  5. Testing and Verification:
    • Test the functionality of the extension by taking a screenshot.
    • Verify the output in the specified file location or clipboard, depending on your settings.
