Long ago I was using a bunch of python scripting to automate various commands on my stream, including a very crude offline voice recognition I called Igor that I needed to train over and over to add new functionality. Enter SAMMI: An extremely approachable way of building commands plus the incredible flexibility to still call python scripts, build CSVs for data management, and built in voice recognition. Over 300+ community commands have been built for my streams as well as games, custom shoutout commands, searchable quotes library, a song request system, and so much more. Did you ever want to give someone on the other side of the world the ability to end your stream remotely? Uh, well, I didn't think so, but you could do that in SAMMI and that's just the tip of the iceberg. I started using SAMMI primarily for the sheer versality it offered over other chatbots. I was also drawn to its active development team. We hold a lot of community speedrunning events where I constantly had to go into Studio Mode in OBS to swap various overlays between each runner transition. With one click, I can transition scenes and SAMMI automatically starts/ends recording VODs, unmutes/mutes proper audio sources between two scenes and changes the "up next" overlays of who's coming up next, while in the background changes overlays in different scenes for the next speedrunner, so everything is effectively setup in the background without ever editing anything manually from Studio Mode. The first event I integrated SAMMI into, I saved about 40 minutes of setup time, and that's just the technical stuff. You can set up SAMMI in more fun ways: like it triggering certain sound effects as soon as a person enters to compiling .csv files to display various leaderboards about chat, displaying images and video files, and use it for all kind of channel point redemptions. SAMMI truly falls into the category of: "If you can will it into existence, you can do it in SAMMI."

I've been using SAMMI since before it was SAMMI and I must say, the developers have really made something special. SAMMI is a community driven tool which has helped bring people together and helps many people achieve their dreams with making almost anything on stream possible. With my multiple redeems it helps to stream line everything through SAMMI I have been using since it was called Lionranboard. I also havent found any other streaming tools that allow me to do "shiny" redeems being able to allow a redeem to randomly chance to have it be different. My chat loves to try and hit the lower chance version of the same redeem. I also made Gacha redeems allowing for multiple things to have possible outcomes from the redeems the highest one I have had is 1 out of 10 possible chances. The personal aspect of it is really nice the way I can make things that seem unique to my stream compared to the sea of other content creators really help me feel like I stand out. The problem with this is over time it becomes hard to find and execute everything you need manually in real time. SAMMI is the best thing that happened to me on stream. When I started using SAMMI, it's not even called SAMMI yet. I used to use other services like Nightbot, StreamElements, etc. but now I just need SAMMI as SAMMI is my one stop solution to everything related to streaming! My proudest invention is probably the chat interactive piano - viewers type in the notes in chat, it plays the corresponding sound. Been using this system as my "piano music player" even when I'm off stream & during work. I can even set a playlist, press next / previous buttons to skip songs etc.. When I got affiliated and started looking for funny bots and cool redeems, I used several different bots and websites, but it was painful to maintain that many different bots. Luckily I stumbled upon this program called Lioranboard (later renamed SAMMI) and let me tell you, it changed my stream completely! This thing can do it all, its a true one stop shop! I got rid of every other bot and website that I used to have and remade them all with SAMMI. Well I cant take credit for making them all by myself, there are many awesome people who use this and are willing to share their own creations and help you out if you have questions on how something works. I have no experience in any kind of programming and this looked a little intimidating at first, but even I managed to do many cool things with it! My proudest creation is my own giveaway system that has sounds, pictures and profile pictures of the participants etc. With SAMMI I feel like an unique streamer who has something that no other streamer has and I feel like I stand out a little because of that. Several years ago, I found myself wanting to branch out with more customizability than what the popular services, bots, and platforms could provide. Surely there had to be a virtual deck program out there made by someone, right? So I searched around and found my solution: SAMMI. I started small - first I made a deck for a sound to play whenever one of my emotes were used. Then I started reading the documentation of all the commands available, and my imagination started running wild! Soon I was creating button after button, each one more complex than the last. Leaderboards. Entire interactive games for chat. Even full automation of my OBS! What really makes me love working in SAMMI is the virtual programming environment. Everything works in sequence and is intuitive, but if I ever need to look up what I need there's extensive documentation explaining just how a particular command works. And for anything else, the Discord is super active. SAMMI means I have the freedom to express my creativity through streaming in seemingly limitless ways, and without it I wouldn't have half as much fun!

Testimonial: At first I only added Sammi to handle screen transitions, as I found the ones built into OBS were passable at best, not amazing. I've spent many hours tinkering with Sammi to get everything right, but now viewers can choose my colour trail, announce their presence with sounds, put a frog in my throat (ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD) or even punch me in the face. I have since let Sammi take over. It now handles raids, subs, bits, ads, hype trains, BUT NOT JUST TWITCH!
